About Me

My photo
I'm a wife, a mother, and a full time illustrator. I have a son who is 8, and a daughter 5. Drawing & Digital painting is my life, but wish drawing digis was my full time job b/c I get so much satisfaction from it! For now it is a hobby that is mainly for my babies, and my escape from the strict guideline of the lisenced properties I work on in everyday life! I LOVE my day job too. I create small MMO games for major featured films, anything ranging from Dreamworks Madagascar, Ice Age, Tin Tin, or Puss In Boots to projects as small as My Little Pony, Barbie, and Hello Kitty to name a small few. I enjoy painting traditionally and digitally, and there are days where I wish I had four arms so I can do everything! Family comes first for me - life is just too short, so I try to find a happy balance between crafts and my full time career.

Digital Stamp Tutorials & DT Day

WOW!  I'm so excited!  This past weekend Tracy, from Tracy's Treasures, posted some of my Redonkulous Designs on You Tube and I can't tell you enough how excited and honoured I was when I saw them!  If you're reading this post Tracy, thanks so much for the plug - it means so much to me!  This most certainly helps with exposure for my artwork and I couldn't be more thrilled and grateful!  Here is Tracy's video of all of her cards she has done this year.  Enjoy and become inspired!  Also subscribe to her videos - they are fantastic!  She also does home decor projects and posted a video on a Flower Vase!!!  I'm a sucker for home decor - so I just had to watch it myself!  :)

Also, this past week, Kim from Just Wordz posted another video tutorial on You Tube on how to colour my Wedding Bliss digital stamp!!!  Once again, I am ecstatic to watch my digis come to life!  Kim sure makes you want to run out and buy those ProMarkers!  Those little tips are perfect for those tight spaces...and that blending marker, I don't know how anyone could live without!  So cool!!!  Thanks Kim, you're the best!  Check out Kim's latest tutorial on how to colour digi stamps - then subscribe to her videos and learn every step on how to colour these beautiful images using ProMarkers!

I also wanted to thank my entire design team for going above and beyond what I expected; spreading the word about my digi stamps and my shop!  I have stumbled upon several sites and blogs recently by accident, and seen where many of you have posted and given credit to Redonkulous Designs!  Without all of you, I'd still be a little minnow in the ocean.  I have seen an increase in traffic since being a part of such a wonderful and amazing team!  I almost feel like a pike now, and can't wait to evolve into a shark!!!  From the bottom of my heart - thank you so much ladies!

Speaking of Design Team...you know what day it is don't you? Yup, it's Design Team DAY!!!  Check out what my redonkulous crafty ladies have created this week!

Digital Stamp for a Man & DT Day

This digital stamp of a girl jumping out of a cake sure got a lot of double takes and googly eyes from my male co-workers!!!  For the past few days I've been colouring her up during lunch time at work.  Based on my live audience's feedback, I have a feeling this is a big winner for any man to receive!  This digi stamp is perfect for a stag/bachelor night invite, a birthday card for men, an anniversary card, or even valentines day!  Whatever you plan on celebrating, this image will bring big smiles from the recipient!  I did up this coloured version for a shop sample (mind the watermark, I do plan on selling as a clipart) - I know, a sad attempt at a greeting card done digitally - hehe - I really just did it for fun!  Not too bad for a first attempt.  Maybe one day I will brave enough to use ProMarkers and real paper & embellishments - LOL!

It's DT Day everyone!  Time to show of some of my Redonkulous creations!  See what the ladies have been up to this week!  I can't wait to see!  This is the time of the week where I wish I didn't have to go to work!  Since the posts don't go up until 8AM (and it is really 5:30AM for me as I pre - schedule my blog posts), I will have to wait until I get home...Boooooo!  Hope everyone has a crafty week!

Visit Kim's blog to see what she has done with my cheekiest digital stamp, and then hop on over to the rest of my teamies and leave'm some lovens!

Trendy Teen Digital Stamp and DT Day!

Yay! It's another boy digital stamp for those of you who have requested boy digis!   This one is of a trendy teenager or college student!  You know those boys and their techy toys, I just had to do this one!  He actually looks similar to a character on a television show I use to design for.   I guess after 6 years of drawing the same character, it eventually takes over your soul. LOL!  He actually looks a lot cooler than the TV show character I use to draw. Though, when I was finished, I cringed a little because I could see the influences. I was at the point of no returning for this cool guy!  I still like'em. :)

On Sunday we spent the day at my parents house visiting my Nana from England. She will be going back home next Tuesday, so of course we want to visit again this coming weekend.  I  wish she lived closer because it is so nice to see her so full of energy around the great grand Kids, and Kolby had a blast wrestling a toy from her and popping bubble wrap! How many people are lucky enough to play with their great grandparent(s)? Sadly I can't remember mine - can you?

So I am starting to freak out a little. The baby is due in 2 months! EEK! We are so NOT ready for her! Now I feel the need to get rid of a lot stuff we just don't need anymore because it is taking up so much room! One of these weekends I want to stay home and go through it all.  The thought is overwhelming and gives me anxiety as I know it will take longer than a weekend!  I will have to write down a "to do list".  Some days I think "ooh, I bet I could get some extra money if I sell this or sell that," ...Ha! Let's be serious! This is the reason why I still have it sitting here.  Jim and I have decided to give most of it to charity, and the bigger stuff we will try to sell.

DESIGN TEAM'S CRAFTY CREATIONS

Before we begin, I'd like to point your eyes to the new Gallery Tab I have added to my blog.  You will now be able to see my teamies past projects.  Finally eh?  It is still a work in progress as you can see everyone is not there, but as I receive pictures (hint hint), I will update!   =)  The pics will stay there forever and ever, so send those pics in ladies!

It's time to show of some off my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  Lets start at Kim's blog and see what she has created!  My teamies links are there too.  You can also leave these ladies some LOVE by following the links below.  Enjoy!

Bring on Summer & DESIGN TEAM DAY

Well, my little baby is now a big boy. We had a blast this past weekend celebrating his 3rd birthday with my oldest brother. The weather was gorgeous, and very hot for this time of year - I'll gladly welcome the sunshine!  The kiddies drove their mini vehicles around the yard at my parents house, went swimming in the big pool, and went fishing in the mini toddler pool (plastic fish of course!) The Kids also had a blast squirting each other with their mini Squirt guns! My other oldest brother brought out  two big Water Soakers to "keep the kids is line" - haha!  Of course the kids thought this was a hoot and tried desperately to take my brother down!!!  They were no match for this BIG kid!  Before you could blink, all 3 of my brothers and of course my husband were attacking each other with Super Soakers, the hose, and water balloons! It was all out WAR!  Women & children - take cover!  What an awesome weekend to be a kid again!

Have you ever tried a mojito?  I was able to indulge myself with this tropical drink for the first time, and it was so yummy!  If you haven't had one, I highly recommend it - but they take time to make properly.  Wishing it could've been filled with rum, but not for this preggo for a while.  I'll have to wait to try the real deal once I pop this baby out.  All I have to say is mmmmmm to the virgin one!!!  What a nice flavor to celebrate the summer!

As you all know, it's DT day. Lets take a look at what the ladies have been whipping up this week.  Kim from Just Wordz has been doing some amazing tutorials on how to colour Digital Stamps using Pro Markers!  These are videos you just gotta check out!  I think they are the best and most informative on the web!  She claims she's no expert, but honestly, this lady knows her stuff and is amazing at colouring digital stamps and creating handmade cards!  One day, I would love to see the whole process, from colouring through card creation.  No pressure Kim! ;)  Leave some Lovens for the very talented ladies below!

My Life This Week, DT DAY, & Soccer-Football Digital Stamp!

Happy Birthday Lovey!  It's my son's birthday today!  I can't believe he is already 3 years old!!!  It seems like yesterday when I was holding him in my arms, and now I am taking him on picnics and playing in the rain - at least that's what we did on Victoria Day Monday!  Can someone please slow down the clock?  He is growing too fast!  I aways tell Jim I want to keep him this small forever.  I don't know what it is like to have a teenager, or a college kid, but all I can say is, this is by far the most fun we have had and I just want to hold onto it forever.  Terrible Two's?  Nah, not so terrible at all!  They should change the name to "Terrific Twos", because I have never laughed so hard, or had my heart melt to mush in all my life!  Now lets see what a three year old will bring us...moohoo haha!

More things going on this month!  My Nana from England is visiting and I am so excited to see her this weekend!  We are trying to get everyone in the family together this weekend at my Mum and Dad's house to see her, as we just never know when her last trip out to Canada will be!  We also hope to celebrate Kolby's birthday this weekend with my oldest brother, whose birthday was yesterday!  Is it just me, or are there a  lot of people born in May? LOL!  I noticed there are several people taking their birthdays off this month at my work.  I bet there are a lot more of you Spring babies out there - So Happy Birthday to all of you born in the month of May!  :) *Muh!* xoxo

More good news! My other grandmother is recovering well!  She gave us quite a scare this past weekend, and the doctors told close family that they all needed to go to the hospital.  So off my Dad went to Quebec to be with her, and his brothers and sisters.  She was hospitalised on Monday b/c her heart stopped.  Yesterday they put in a pace maker, and we have heard she is doing really well.  Hoping her status remains positive, and praying for a full recovery!

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS?!?!

It's DT Day!  It's time to show of some off my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  My favorite day of the week!  Lets start at Kim's blog and see what she has created!  Have you been there and done that already?  Well, what are you waiting for? Visit these very talented ladies and give them some LOVE!  If you haven't seen their stuff before, you're missing out!  Don't miss out this week, hop on the links below.

3D Ultrasound & DT Day

Another beautiful weekend! On Saturday we went to our 3D Ultrasound appointment. We are excited to announce we are having a baby GIRL!!!   YAY!   A few months back we went for a health check ultrasound and we were hoping to find out what the gender of the baby was.  We asked the ultrasound technician to write the gender in a card we had specially picked out.  This was so that we could open the card on a special day (like Valentines Day or Easter) to give ourselves a lovely surprise.  But not long after our request, the technician blurted out, "it's a girl MAYBE?  Looks like the baby has girl parts, but not too sure..."   Whoops - you weren't suppose to tell us remember?  - LOL!  The baby was so curled up in a ball, that it was hard to get a good shot to determine the sex.  When the technician said it was a "girl maybe", I was so excited I didn't even care that she blurted it out.  All I wanted to do was shop for little girly clothes!!!  So after the appointment, my hubby allowed me to buy a dress, when I REALLY wanted to buy a million girly things!  No point in spending money on a "maybe girl" - LOL!  I can't tell you how excited we both are to finally find out that the baby is for SURE a girl!   Now we have one of each!   After growing up in a household with 3 brothers, I am especially happy to have a bonding experience with my little girly girl. Prepare to be dollified my little princess! Hehehehe!  Kolby will be so happy that he doesn't have to wear dresses anymore...I'm kidding...or am I?  ;)

Here are just 4 of 110 pics!  There were so many to choose from, but I think these are my favourite.  The only thing that sucks about the 3D ultrasound is that it creates a lot of anxiousness - I just want to cuddle her right now!  I can't wait to finally meet her!

In this picture, it looks like she has hair - but those are actually shadows.  We can't see hair in ultrasounds - or so I was told. :)
"Just trying to get my beauty sleep!"

My little princess showing her true colours by sticking her tongue out at us!  What a cheeky little monkey!

...and here comes the diva attitude!  I think this one is funny!
"This is so humiliating!!!  I'm not even born yet and my parents are taking pictures of me!  Let me know when it is over!"

Oh my!  Our little angel has become a teenager already by flipping us her middle finger!!!  No joke - we couldn't believe our eyes!  This happend right after I shook my belly to get her arms away from her face to get a nice shot.  We all laughed, including the technician - she'd never seen that before!!!
 "I said - BUZZ OFF!"

I hoped you enjoyed the pictures of my lovely sweety.  It will only be a few more months until our little angel will meet the world.  I only wish the world for both my son and my future daughter.  If a picture can say a thousand words then "YOU - my daughter" have taken all my thousands of words...

...Now, lets get down to business!  It's Design Team Day!!!  YAAAAAY!!!  Time to check out some more of my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  Lets see what the ladies have created this week:

DT DAY - and Re-draw for a New Winner!

Uh-oh!  Looks like we have an unclaimed digital stamp winner from last weeks 100 Followers draw.  I really hate to do this, but this is the way the cookie crumbles.  For the NEW winner - please click here.

It's my son's birthday month and he turns 3 on the 23rd!  His Nana and Papa decided to spoil him rotten early, and refused to take "no" for an answer!  We're not sure who feels more spoiled - us, or Kolby - LOL!  Jim decided to take Kolby to the States to pick up some pre-ordered stuff close to the boarder.  When it comes to children's toys and clothing, many things are literally half price compared to Canada.  It is even worth the gas to drive there, plus the duty charges!  So our spoiled little boy got a four wheeler for kids (battery operated of course), a cool new bike, and a shark helmet.  He had the best weekend of his life and it was so beautiful outside!  He literally spent the whole weekend outside riding his four wheeler in the backyard, and his bike to the park!  As the weekend came to a closing, Kolby laid in his bed and whispered, "thank you for letting me ride my four wheeler."  He grabbed my face, squishing my cheeks, and said with his serious little expression - "I'm so proud of you Mommy!"  Then he rubbed the top of my head - I couldn't help but laugh!  I said, "No no buddy, I'm so proud of you!"  It melted my heart!  We felt so blessed this weekend. ♥

It's time to show off my Design Team's talent!  I get so excited for Wednesday now!  These ladies are so talented, so be sure to leave them some LOVE!

Redonkulous Designs - Design Team Day! YAY!

It's Redonkulous Design team day again!  Be sure to check out the these fabulously coloured digital stamps this week!  First, go to Just wordzs to see what Kim has been up to, and then continue on to the ever so talented ladies in the links below:

So, I am having the WORST luck with computers this week!  I accidentally posted my DT day yesterday and realized it at lunch time while I was at work.  Damn preggo brain - I swear!!! Do you know how disappointed I was to find out that yesterday was Tuesday and NOT Wednesday.  Boy this is going to be a long week - LOL!  So this was MY fault.  To correct my brain dysfunction, I used my ipad to re-schedule it for today.  Well paint my face red!  The stinking thing posted a blank post today and just the title.   The ipad is good for some things, but not for blog posts!!!  I thought it looked glitchy when I hit re-schedule, but I didn't think twice about checking it.   My ipad completely deleted it.  So now, this is my new version of the DT Day post I had posted.  But let me continue my explanation of bad luck with computers.  Last Thursday during lunch at work I started my new digi of a karate kick girl (by popular demand).  When I went to finish it on the weekend, the file had corrupted!!!  I tried everything to repair it - but an error message read in Photoshop: "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." Wha - WHAT?!?!  So I Googled this exact term, and of course it has happened to other unfortunate souls like me.  Of course, "corrupted file" seemed to be the main thing that popped up in my search.  I had to bite the bullet and redraw my digital stamp again.  It is still in the clean up stage, but will be coming soon for those of you who requested it.  My lovely computer luck hasn't ended there!  Yesterday at work I was given a deadline to have some files completed by end of day (5:00pm).  Could you believe, for something that should've only taken about 10 minutes, turned into an hour and a half of unpaid overtime?  Yep, this is my luck - LOL!  All of the servers shut down on me, making it impossible to upload my work, and of course my desperate plea to our tech support did not reach them via email.  I was unaware that my email had stopped working too!  So none of my files sent, my plea for help, or approval requests!  My Art Director and I had to swap a memory stick back and fourth several times to save the files. For some reason, HE was able to use his email and get onto the servers no problem, but not me!  It's funny now - but it wasn't yesterday when the deadline hit.  It is also funny now, because this morning my co-workers were asking me why I keep sending them files they already received yesterday and approved.  Turns out my email decided to send all of the messages I wrote last night - this morning!!!  BAHAHAHAHA!  Today seems to be going well, I am still at work and there isn't much to do today - THAT NEVER HAPPENS!  So I have taken the time to re-write my post!  :) Shh, don't tell my boss.  Hehehe!

In my post that was accidentally deleted, I was asking if you have any digi stamp ideas?  I was thinking about doing a music related one of a girly. I've had some requests for boys of course - so I have added it to the list.  I have an idea of an old man funny card, but not sold on that idea. Want to help me brainstorm?  I might use your idea in my next digital image!

I'm SO excited...

Just 5 more followers and we get to do the final draw for a free Digi Stamp!  YAY!  :)

I have a question for all of you and I am sure the answers will be different across the board.

1. What program(s) do you use for editing digital stamps?
The answer will help me answer questions for people who are just getting into digital stamping.  I personally use Photoshop, but of course this is not what most use, to my knowledge.  I recently had a nice lady who told me she uses Microsoft Powerpoint - which I found shocking as I thought it was just for slide shows (this just shows you how long it has been since I used this program - probably 20 years now).  I actually had to You Tube it to see if you could crop a picture, and was a little surprised to see that it does. I figured it might, but wasn't certain.  You learn something new everyday folks!  Hehehe!  Another lady said she uses Microsoft Office Word - which is also shocking as it does not support PNGs (at least my 2007 version doesn't).  I knew you could add images and resize, so it MUST have a crop tool somewhere.  It took me a few minutes to find the crop tool - and I'm not going to lie - I was surprised that it had a crop tool as I have only used the program for typing letters or asset lists for work. Now I'd really be shocked if someone were to tell me that your NEWER version of Microsoft Office Word supports PNGs.  I want to be able to provide my customers with the proper customer support they deserve by educating myself on the programs that YOU, the customers use.  Thanking you in advanced!  :)

UPDATE:  One of my wonderful blog followers informed me today (April 30th) that Microsoft Word does support PNGs. Well, I had to figure this out b/c when  I go file > Open, it doesn't show my PNGs. *HEAD SCRATCH* This is how I open files from other programs. It wasn't long before I noticed you had to go to Insert > Picture. Wow! I also discovered you can drag and drop the images.  I think I already knew this, but assumed it didn't work for pngs. Please note - this doesn't keep it a PNG. It turns it into a jpeg - no more transparent background when I drag it into Photoshop from Word. I suppose if you're using Word to open images for your projects, you wouldn't really need a PNG, but it works just fine for cropping, and resizing.  Mystery solved!  Thanks "Aunty Sue"!   :)

2. Do you find PNGs a pain in the buttocks?
This was all I was selling in my shop, and have recently spent days converting everything over to both PNGs and JPGs for my customers.  I have just recently started to send both.  I know most of you use the PNGs fine, but there are some crafty ladies who have trouble with this format and I usually convert for them upon request no problem.  Why do you think they are unable to use these files?  I often second guess myself for using pngs as my main file format, to me they are the best. What are your thoughts?

REDONKULOUS DESIGNS' RANDOM TIP

Redonkulous tip #1:  Did you know that every time you save a JPG image it deteriorates the quality?  Probably not enough to notice in your digi stamps, but this is why I provide my customers with PNGs for digis and clipart.  PNGs are "non-lossy" files, meaning it will not degrade the image quality.  They are also awesome if you want to paint digitally because the white surrounding the black line-work or image are transparent!  So ladies and gents, don't be afraid to get crafty digitally!  It's fun...AND there's an UNDO button for mistakes...and for people like me who make a lot of them.  Hehehe!

There, I hope you have learnt something new today too.  :)  Hope you all had a super fun and crafty weekend!  Back to the drawing board for me!

Tis' the Season for Spring, and Karate Chopping!

It was a late night for me last night as I was burning the mid-night oil for the company I work for.   I have a major deadline this morning, but it's nothing toothpicks under the eyelids won't fix - ahahahaha!  Wait, why am I laughing at this...I must be delusional!  Well, at least I am not too tired to announce that it is DT DAY!!!  YAY!  You know the drill, so start hopping...

So my poor son has no luck!  This weekend he was sick with pink eye and a double ear infection, which needed medication from the doctors!  Boy oh boy what a month it has been, and he is usually a healthy little guy with barely a sniffle!  At least he spent some quality time with his Dad.  Although both Jim and I were burnt out from the late night cries all week, the ear infections and pink eye were not going to slow this monkey down; he showed Daddy how to fix a bike!  At 2 years old (3 in a month), he sure knows a lot about fixing things...and yes, he puts his Dad to shame!  I'm not sure where he picked it up, but he sure is a natural.  Now, if he could only fix our van!  It sounds like it is going to die soon!  Hopefully May will be better than April.

On a positive note, as most of you already know, my son has a new care provider and she almost seems too good to be true.  It's only been 4 days with her and we have already received crafts, a cake they made  together, and a little calendar for upcoming events - (today is wear your Sens Jersey Day). I'm crossing my fingers, as I may have to reserve her for when it comes time for me to go back to work from maternity leave for baby number 2.  I know, I know, this is over a year away, but August is approaching fast and our new addition will be here. * GULP *  For some reason this little rascal in my belly has been nothing but trouble - rolling around at 11:00 at night until 1AM and up at 5:00AM!!!  Let's hope this is not a preview of things to come.  This baby is a party animal-L0L!

Oh yes, before I forget, I managed to finish a karate digital stamp for a boy, and a spring themed digi that is universal - but I mostly had Mother's Day on the brain when I threw the Floral one together.  Not only does it come with a blank version for your own creativity, it comes with a variety of sentiments already placed on the image as an added bonus.  From Happy Mother's Day to Get well Soon - I tried to think of everything for this digital image!

Cheers to the Spring, our moms, and our families!!! Now lets bring on the summer, I have margaritas to drink! (non alcoholic of course).  :)

New Digital Stamp & DT DAY!!!

What a crazy 2 weeks!!!  We are FINALLY set up with a new care provider, and yesterday was Kolby's first day.  He came home so happy and excited to tell us what he did during the day.  We have noticed a huge difference in terms of daily activities and the overall excitement.  Last night Kolby told me he wanted to go to her house again tomorrow and I didn't even bring up the topic!  My husband and I exchanged big smiles when Kolby mentioned it.  Crossing my fingers that he still feels the same way after a few weeks, as they say it can take 3 to 4 weeks for children to get used to a new change in providers.  My husband and I couldn't be more happy right now!  Things happen for a reason, and as hard as these few weeks have been on us, it is clearly obvious this was a blessing in disguise.

As you all know, it is DT Day!  So Stretch those fingers and crack your knuckles because it is time to hop from blog to blog!  If you have already come from the Just Wordz blog and saw the sneak peeks, then you can continue forward and check out the Design Team's Redonkulous creations at the links below.  This week we have...

THIS IS LONG OVERDUE...

I managed to create a new Digi Stamp through all of the commotion over the past two weeks.  She will go up for sale tonight  (Estern Standard Time). So be sure to check my Etsy Shop tonight or tomorrow morning (depending on your time zone)!

Design Team Day is here again!

Before we get down to business, I just want to thank everyone for their kind words for what we are going through this month.  It is really hard to think that anyone would deliberately hurt our child, and we won't really know for sure what happened.  A lot of tears have been shed over the past week, and we are still awaiting more feedback from Child Protective Services with their final comments.  All we know is my son is not going back to the same care provider due to the stresses it has had on our family, and the doctor's report, saying it looks like ear pulling and trauma to the head and neck.  I miss Kolby so much (he is with his grandparents until we find a new provider).  We have done several interviews and will have several more to go through tonight and the rest of the week.  Busy busy busy, is an understatement.  On a good note, we met a really nice lady last night with better credentials, police check on her and her husband and she has CPR training.  She seems like she has a good head on her shoulders and has cared for children before.  Of course she is more pricey than our last provider, but since the incident, it is hard to put a price tag on your child's safety.  We'll just have to tough it out for four months until I go on maternity leave.  Hoping things start to get easier over the next few weeks.  I am 75% done my new digi stamp.  Should have her done by the weekend if things around here ease up a bit.  I can't wait to post her - it's killing me!  :)

So as you all know it is design team day! Go to Just Wordz to begin the blog hopping! Check out the sneak peeks and see what Kim has been up to.

If you have already stopped by Kim's blog, you can also see what the Teamies have done by clicking the links below.  This is their first round to show off my digital stamps!  I can't wait to see them all myself!  :)

WHOOT WHOOT! DT DAY!!!

Want to see what our Design Team did for their first round with my high quality digi stamps?!?!?
Go to Just Wordz and start blog hopping there.  Show the girls some LOOOOVE and leave a comment!!!

MY APOLOGIES

Yes, a bit late getting this out today.  We are experiencing a family emergency that is eventually going to work itself out!  It is going to be crazy over the next few weeks.  Its been a parent's worse experience.  Lets just say, we have to find a new care provider for my son - pretty serious stuff!  It has been quite a nightmare!  Thankfully my son is fine, but has a badly bruised ear.  He has been staying at my parent's house this week, and then off to my husband's parent's the following week, and then who knows after that.  All this hassle while we try to find a safe environment for him to stay at during the day while we work.  We are hoping to find something soon, b/c I don't think I can stand another week without him.  It is an eerie feeling not having him around when we get home from work - but hearing his voice on the phone is so wonderful!  We miss him so much!  It really sucks not having family near by so that we can see him. *sob*

Welcoming a Left Handed Blonde!

Another day, another Design Team Member!  This young talented lady has been chosen to colour my Digital Stamps!  Lets welcome...

Hi, I'm Stacey, also known as 'The Left-Handed Blonde'. I'm 30 and live on the south coast of the UK with my exceedingly craft tolerant boyfriend Alistair. I work full time (and then some!) but try to squeeze in as much crafty time in as I possibly can.

I got in to crafting 4 years ago whilst I was recovering from an operation. I was forced to stay off work longer than I had expected and in a bid to avoid total cabin fever, I bought a card making magazine and got to work with the freebie bits on the front cover. From that day, I just haven't looked back. Whilst I'm pleased to report that my style and skill level has improved somewhat since those very early days, unfortunately, my bank balance really hasn't! I tend to produce unfussy clean designs and love bright and bold papers. I also adore my beloved Copic markers and now use them on every image that I colour. I can't wait to start using them on some new Redonkulous images!

For me, one of the best and most unexpected things about crafting and blogging are the wonderful people you meet along the way. The kindness and generosity of crafters is unlike anything I have experienced before - you guys rock!

Thanks for reading all about me - hope I haven't bored you too much! If you like the little samples of my cards below, please stop by my blog sometime.

Thanks for sharing Stacey!  We are super excited to have you join the team! ♥

Design Team Introduction

The time has finally come!!!  We have been busy bees these past few days!  Kim and I  finally narrowed down the design team to showcase Redonkulous Designs' Digi Stamps.  We had many applications from so many talented people.  I wish we could've picked more, but it is hard enough tracking 6 - whew!  Let me tell you, it was so hard to choose, and if you were not selected, don't feel discouraged because it was very very close!  So many of you are so so talented - I can't even find words to express how heartbreaking it was to choose just 6!  It was not easy!!!  Thanks so much for applying!  ♥

Now do you REALLY think I am going to spill the beans on who is on the team in one post?!?!  No way!  You'll just have to come back everyday to find out who is on the team - but wait........

Our first Design Team member I'd like to introduce is...................

My name is Kate Cordero.  I live in Fort Worth, TX.  I am a SAHM to 4 wonderful kids and married for almost 17 years to the best hubby ever.  I guess, I have always been into Scrapbooking/Papercrafting, before I knew what it really was or what acid free even was, I would cut my journaling and pictures out of magazines and place them in my albums.  Although I love my Cricut and Cameo, I am now absolutely loving coloring my images with Copics.  It is the satisfaction to see them come to life as you color them just makes it all worth it.

I am so Redonkulously happy that Sheryl and Kim has chosen me to be a part of the Design Team. I can't wait to color up those Adorable Images and being with Redonkulous Designs as it starts its new Adventure in the Crafty World. I hope to do them proud with my Designs.

If you would like to get to know Kate a bit more, pop over to her blog.  Welcome to the team Kate! We are so happy to be working with you over the next few months!

ROUND 2- Follower Digi Stamp Giveaway

As most of you already know I am doing a follower appreciation digital stamp giveaway!  My goal is to reach 100 followers.  We've already had our first giveaway with 3 more to go!  Please see March 21st Post to view the winner from Round 1.  I want to thank my current followers to date!  It means a great deal to me.

So now that Round 2 has started,  when you become a follower, please post a comment in this post announcing your  arrival and post the number when you joined the follower list for your chance to win a digi stamp of your choice from my store.  Find your number in the followers list where it says "Members (27)" for example.  If you forget to post your number, you will be given a number by myself. The reason I need your member number is to solve the problem we experienced in the first draw (see previous posts for explanation). ***FRIENDLY REMINDER***  Please make sure your name in the comments matches your follower name, or please confirm who you are in the list. Thanks so much!

With that said, we now need 50 followers to complete Round 2!  Tell your digi stamp friends about the giveaway and their chance to win a free digi...otherwise we could be waiting a while until the next draw!  :)  Good luck everyone! ♥

Round One Digi Stamp Giveaway!

Well, my first contest!  I did not expect this many followers so quickly! WOW! I just want to thank everyone who has followed so far!  I am thrilled to bits!!!  One thing I did not anticipate is when a follower joins without a pic it puts them at the beginning of the list.  Because of this, I have decided to add the first 26 followers b/c they literally happened at the same time, and I do not know who was first.  Bare with me folks!  From now on, please announce in the comments when you join (write your number)so that everyone gets a fair chance!  This way, if I am at work, I won't have to guess who joined first and leave anyone with bad feelings!  If you forget to claim your number in a post, then a random number will be assigned.  I will wait until all 50 followers join (for the next round)before posting your numbers.

Good luck everyone...time to announce the winner using the Random Prize Generator for round 1!  Are you ready???

AND THE WINNER IS............*DRUMROLL*...................

Congrats Laurajtaylor2010!!!  You are the big winner.  You have 72 hours to claim your prize.  If the prize is not claimed within this time, I will have to redraw.  Please send your mailing info and choice of Digital Stamp to the address in the Contact Me tab at the top of my blog page.

To show my gratitude towards my followers, I'd like to give everyone the opportunity to win ONE of my digital stamps of choice!  I will give you each a number in the order that you appear on the followers list starting at the bottom *Please note, followers who are faceless automatically show up at the beginning of the list (so numbers will be given as I see fit).  My goal is to reach 100 followers.  The first 25 followers will be the first batch entered into the contest.   The next draw will be from 1 to 50 followers, and then 1 to 75, and finally 1 to 100!  So the earlier you become a follower, the more chances you have to win!  Keep checking back to see the list grow, I wouldn't want you to miss the random draw.  Waiting is gonna be the hard part.  So...if you want this list to grow quickly, you will have to tell your digital stamp loving friends to follow too!  :)  If you do not claim your prize within 3 days, I will have to do a redraw! Sorry, those are the rules.  I will be updating this post with follower names and numbers. Baby Digi Stamp!

Up up and away!!!! My latest Digital image is finally for sale. I was at work when I started this one (on my lunch break). I finished her up on the weekend. I guess, since having my second baby on the way, you could say I have babies on the brain lately. Hehehe! In two weeks I go for my second ultrasound. We are so excited to see if the baby is a boy or a girl...if he/she will be co-operative! :) Some may ask, why are you ruining the surprise? To me, no matter when you find out the news, it will always be a surprise. I just get my surprise sooner rather than later, and I can plan for his or her arrival. With Kolby, I asked the ultrasound technician if she could please write it in a card, one my husband and I had picked out together. We decided we would open the card on a special day. It was New Years when we decided to open the card. We video taped our reactions as we read it, and we video taped our phone calls to our loved ones announcing the news - they turned out hilarious and joyful! It was totally worth it and a lot of fun! We have the memory recorded and a VERY special card for Kolby's baby book. ♥ What Should we do for this baby? Any ideas? Maybe we will Keep the news to ourselves this time -  I don't know!
