About Me

My photo
I'm a wife, a mother, and a full time illustrator. I have a son who is 8, and a daughter 5. Drawing & Digital painting is my life, but wish drawing digis was my full time job b/c I get so much satisfaction from it! For now it is a hobby that is mainly for my babies, and my escape from the strict guideline of the lisenced properties I work on in everyday life! I LOVE my day job too. I create small MMO games for major featured films, anything ranging from Dreamworks Madagascar, Ice Age, Tin Tin, or Puss In Boots to projects as small as My Little Pony, Barbie, and Hello Kitty to name a small few. I enjoy painting traditionally and digitally, and there are days where I wish I had four arms so I can do everything! Family comes first for me - life is just too short, so I try to find a happy balance between crafts and my full time career.

In other fun news we are having a BLOG HOP this coming Friday!!!  YAY! We are going to have some blog candy to give away, as well as REDONKULOUS DESIGNS is having their first challenge EVER!!! Please visit Friday for all the details.

Before I had my baby girl, I started a new Christening digital stamp. and yesterday evening and early this morning I was finally able to complete it. I will post it in my store later today, but here is a sneak peak.

I'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes for the baby and me.  Your comments brought a smile to my face and I enjoyed reading each and every comment. We are finally just starting to get use to our new schedule with Serina. She is still melting our hearts every day.  Kolby is still quite oblivious to his new baby sister.  Once in a while he will acknowledge her, but for the most part his trucks, tractors, and cars are his world. The other day I got out for the first time in weeks.  We took Kolby to the splash pad near our house.  I enjoyed watching him play in the water sprinklers with the other children.  I was also able to enjoy Serina and Jim.  What a treat it is to be able to stay home with my family and not feel the exhaustion and stresses from work.  =)  This is what I think winning the lottery would be like (spending every day with family).  Every afternoon Kolby and I spend some time together playing "Just Dance" on the PS3.  We have a blast - mind you I can't dance while I recover, but I can do some arm movements which is better than nothing - LOL!  We have also been spending a lot of time outside playing!  Serina just loves the fresh air too!  Jim and I make a point to do fun things with Kolby every day so that he doesn't feel left out with all of the attention the baby gets.  So far everyone is happy!

Redonkulous Winners/Baby Announcement!!!

I am proud to announce the birth of our daughter Serina Emily Brown, born August 12, 2012 at 11:15 AM. Weighing 7lb 12oz and 20.5 inches long. It will be a very slow recovery for me after 4 days of labour which eventually resulted in an emergency c-section.=(  My baby girl is an absolute angel and perfect in every way!  So far she just eats and sleeps.  She is very quiet and cuddly - and let me tell ya, I could cuddle her all day long and just stare at her.   Being up every 2 to 3 hours for feeding is definitely taking its toll on Jim and I, but we are doing well - we are just tired, and have forgotten what a newborn was like - LOL!!!  Here are some pics of her in the hospital.

BABY DATE WINNER!!!
Let's also announce the winner of the 16000 Redonkulous Reward Points.  Sammi, congratulations!  You have guessed the correct birth date of my daughter.  Your guess was made while I was in labour and being admitted into the hospital at 3:30AM (EST) - LOL!   My doctor had a scheduled C-Section for me August 17th - but we didn't make it to that date.  I don't think I would have made it that long when my contractions started in the very early hours of August  9th.  Sammi, please register at my website RedonkulousDesigns.com.  Once you do that, I can add your winning points to your account and you can shop away!  =)

RANDOM DRAW - WINNER!!!
Since this is such a wonderful chapter in my life, I have decided to do a random draw for those of you who participated in guessing, and most importantly for all of the well wishes I have received!  Each and every comment meant a lot to me and hearing your personal reasons why the date you guessed was so important in your life made me smile, and  I even read them out loud to my hubby.  We both enjoyed your comments.  So this is for 8000 Redonkulous Reward points.  I have assigned everyone  a number based on the order of your comments (my comments and double comments have been excluded).  So without further adieu...the winner is.......................................................

CONGRATULATIONS AUD!!!  You are the 12th member in the comments!  You have won 8000 Redonkulous Reward Points!  Please register on my website if you haven't already and I will happily add your points to your account!  =)

Today is also Redonkulous Designs' DT Day!  I am very very late posting today - but better late than never right?  Here are the links to my Redonkulous Team mates!  Leave them some love.  I just got a sneak peak at Kim's blog and I sure do like what I am seeing!  =)

Digital StampTutorial - Colouring with Promarkers!!!

Soooooo excited!!!  Kim did another tutorial using my digital stamp "Friends Forever"!!!  Thanks Kim - your the best! I can't tell you how excited I get when I watch my digital stamps get coloured up in real time!  Kim's tutorials are the best that I have seen, and are super for any nube starting out.  I always say this, but one of these days I will buy those markers and follow Kim's tutorials and test my hand at it too.  She makes it look so so easy.  Check it out!

Well, my due date to have my baby girl was yesterday....still waiting.  Thought for sure she would come early, but she decided that she was comfortable this week.  Figures!  I'm comforted by the fact that it will be sometime within the next 10 days.  =)

Don't forget, today is design team day and I am excited to be able to see what my teamies have done this week!  Kim, Stacey, Shell, and Debs.  I thought this would be one I'd miss, being so close to my due date.  Sadly, I did not get around to finishing my latest digi - I know, I am such a slacker these past 2 weeks and feel so guilty, but it is almost done.  I tried to finish it up yesterday, but got caught up in the silliest details that I am probably going to delete.  Today's agenda is to finish up my digi, and also catch up on laundry...errr um, no, how about I have that baby?  I like that idea.  Maybe I can get all 3 done!  Wouldn't that be a productive day?  =)

To Much Work! DT DAY

What a week!  Yes, this blog post is a day late and I do apologize.  I have actually been doing some overtime for my work to get a project done before I leave for maternity.  I know, everyone always asks me why am I still working at 9 months pregnant and ready to deliver any day now???  Even my bus driver  I greet every morning can't believe I am still working!  She shakes her head at me - hehe!  But at least I get one perk - priority seating baby - woohoo!  Boy am I gonna miss that - actually no I won't, I will never miss the city bus - HA!  I'm not going to lie though, I am really starting to regret this decision to continue working until I pop, as I have had a persistent stomach ache for the past 2 days... but you have to do what is best for the family; plus the project I have been working on cannot easily be handed over to someone.  Thank goodness I now have it to a point where I can just hand it in without too many hiccups - YAY!  I am very happy with this accomplishment and so is my supervisor and project manager!  =0)

So yesterday was DT day!  Hop over to Kim's blog to check out some Redonkulous Designs' all coloured up!  I haven't had the chance to do that just yet - but I will make my rounds sometime today! :)  There is also still an opportunity to WIN FREE DIGITAL STAMPS, click the link for more details.  I can't believe no one has guessed past my due date!!!  Anything can happen folks!  :)

Saturday and Sunday were beautiful days. The weather was perfect and I was eager to spend some time outdoors. We purchased a new patio set so that Kolby, the new baby and l could spend some time outside.   It took Jim and I all day to put the set together, but it was a gorgeous day to do it at a nice slow pace, as I am not very mobile these days.  Jim set up some fun things for Kolby to do. His swimming pool, water sprinkler and sandbox were set up for him and he was all over it in seconds.   It wasn't long before I noticed Kolby drinking from the hose. I immediately warned him not to do that as he would get a sore tummy.   Of course I got the "oh yeah? what are you gonna do about it?"  smirk, and then a continuation of hose slurping.   I threatened to turn the hose off and empty his little pool and then he finally stopped.  If you read my Facebook fan page you will know that Kolby was very sick early Sunday morning and poor Dad got it good, and was caught in the line of fire.  Two showers, and major cleanup at 2:30 AM was not a good way to start the day, and of course I still had  to go to work in the morning.  I didn't really fall back to sleep after everything, and once again I went to work in zombie mode.  Throughout the day, I would check in on Kolby to see how he was doing.  Jim said he was perfect - as if nothing happened, and he is bouncing off of the walls as usual, no fever, nothing.  This was great news!!!  Once my work day was done, I had to back up all of my files in the event I couldn't come in the next day.  I suddenly got a phone call to hurry up and finish what I was doing quickly.  It was Jim in panic mode!  He and Kolby had been playing at the park located next to my work...

Here's are a couple of pictures I call "The calm before the storm".  He looks happy doesn't he?

Unfortunately this is the last picture of fun at the park. The poor little Monkey caught his finger in the swing quite badly.  His finger nail was red and bleeding underneath the nail. Jim spent a while calming Kolby down with onlookers nearby.... Then it happened again... Kolby got sick all over himself and Daddy!  Ugh!  So the panicked phone call I received from Jim - Let's just say when Jim and Kolby picked me up from work, they were both "shirtless" and stinky!  I'm glad we can all laugh about it so soon!
I was going to post a sneak peek of-my latest digital stamp, but I am not happy with it just yet.   It is of a mother and father holding their baby girl for a baptismal/christening card.  A wonderful  customer suggested the idea and I thought it was fantastic!   Thanks Carrie!   The rough stage of the card is almost complete and eventually I hope to get a few spare hours to clean it up.   I would much rather push out more digital stamps than a baby - LOL!

It's Only a Dream!!! DT Day.

As you all know, it is Wednesday again!  Hop on over to Kim's blog and check out what she and my DT's have been up to!  Also, if you would like a chance to WIN FREE DIGITAL STAMPS, click here:

Yes the end is near.  Baby girl is not out yet, but I can't wait to evict...err...umm...see her soon - hehehe!  No new digi stamps this week!  It's killing me to have to slow down now, but my body is starting is telling me to take it easy. This past weekend I had Braxton Hicks (false labour pains) that lasted all day and through a small portion of Sunday.  They were actually quite painful and I was a little worried it could be the real deal.  But they were so inconsistent, I just knew I didn't have to go to the hospital.  I never had anything like this with my first pregnancy, so we were prepared with hospital bag loaded in the van, and had the car seat installed.  Thank goodness this all happened on the weekend!  I am really starting to regret not taking time off of work now.  But we need the money, as I know from the first pregnancy how fast we went through all of the money we had saved up.  I am worried about my water breaking while at work...but you gotta do what you gotta do - right?

I have been up since 2AM... :(
I had a weird dream last night I was on the bus with this scary homeless looking man with silver teeth.  He was causing a commotion, and threatening to do something to hurt people, and of course I was trying to find a way to safely get off the bus without drawing attention to myself.  I knew this was going to be quite the task, as my belly could not be well hidden from the dangerous man who lurked the bus.  Figures, the man noticed me, and pointed out that I was pregnant.  I tried to act like he wasn't there and changed seats, where he proceeded to follow me.  I managed to get off the bus and make my way to work.  Somehow I ended up in a school hallway, but this was also where I worked.  The receptionist was trying to lift my shirt up to see my belly, and this made me quite uncomfortable as my fellow co-workers watched. So as I fought her off, I felt this huge stretch in my belly.  I looked down and there was a perfect mold of a foot and leg poking out!  SO GROSS!  I remember everyone staring at my belly and pointing as I tried to bend the baby's leg back into my belly...and then I woke up in a sweat!!!  What a strange dream eh?  They say dreams have meaning.  I think my dream means my life is chaotic right now with fears of leaving work, and wondering how the baby is going to greet us.  I haven't slept since, but I cuddled up to my little boy who was sleeping in his bed.  I thought and wondered about stuff like how it was going to be with just me home with the baby, and Kolby running wild.  I know it is going to be a challenge for sure!  Kolby is going through that 3 year old stage where he has these crazy bursts of energy, which is fine and healthy...but I know from my first pregnancy how tired I was in the beginning.  But hey, if my Mum could do it with 4 kids without help, I really shouldn't be complaining!  :)  I CAN DO THIS!!!

At 5:00 AM this morning, I decided to go downstairs to make some breakfast and a huge cup of coffee.  At 5:30, I heard little feet come down the stairs.  There stood my little buddy.  I made him some breakfast too, and we chillaxed and talked for a while.  Eventually he fell back to sleep as I looked on with jealousy, wishing I could be in La-La Land too.  Does anyone have any toothpicks to hold these lids of mine open today?  *YAAAAAWN*  He looks so cute laying there!  Well, I'm off to start my work day.  If this rambling blog post doesn't make any sense, I blame it on this baby and my lack of sleep this whole week - LOL!  Have a crafty day ladies!  Now to finish of that coff of cupee.  ;)  Oh right, I knocked it over and it spilt into the carpet - yup I did - oh lovely day!

Wedding Couple - Digital Stamp & DT Wednesday

Want to win free digital products for all your crafty needs, click here for the deets.
So I went for an ultrasound to see my baby girl again. This time it was to check her growth. It was funny because Kolby asked the ultrasound technician if he was going to get his baby sister out yet. Lol! She is currently 6 pounds 13 oz, and they are guessing she will be around 7 pounds when she is delivered. This is such a relief to me because Kolby was just over 9 pounds and left me in the hospital for 5 days, and I had an extremely long recovery after being released. Although worth it, I never want to re-live that again, and I have been praying every night, everything goes well with this little beanie baby.

Energy.  This was the theme of the weekend! I had none of it, and my son had an over abundance of it. Mr. Man has decided that napping is optional and has been doing everything else, but sleep. For example : Jim put Kolby down for his bedtime and Kolby asked "where are you going daddy? What are you doing? Stay with me..." Jim then replied "Daddy is just going downstairs, I'm going to tidy up." He proceeded to go downstairs to tidy and then we started to watch a television show. After 10 mins we can hear the pitter patter of little feet running back and forth in his room, and then galloping down the stairs. "Kolby, James!!!  What are you doing outta bed?!?!"  You know he's in trouble when I use his middle name.  There stands Kolby with an arm full of his pants and shirts that were towering bigger than he was, and he says "I'm tidying up! I gotta clean my clothes." He hoofs them down the stairs with the rest of the laundry.  "There!  All done!" he says.  Due to cuteness, Kolby managed an extra half hour before bed...

Another milestone has been reached! My son can...umm....pee while standing up - Lol! I didn't realize the skill it takes to get one little stream into a manhole cover sized hole. I watched my son spray the back of the toilet and dribble down my floor, only for him to look up and show me his big brown eyes and say "That was perfect Mommy!". I replied with a crooked smile :} "Yes Kolby that was perfect." Now I just wish I had an intercom "Clean up aisle six...."

Well that was my weekend fun!  Now lets go to Kim's blog and check out what my design teamies have been up to...more redonkulousness no doubt!

Here is my latest digital stamp of a wedding couple.  A few weeks ago, Kim mentioned I really needed to add a groom to my Wedding Bliss digi, but I figured I may as well do a completely new wedding stamp before the wedding season comes to an end.  I always wanted to draw a dress with more folds - to make it fun to colour.  In my head, I can picture how beautiful this image could be in colour...now I can't wait to see what others do with  her!

Free Digital Stamps!!!

FREE DIGI STAMPS ANYONE???
...LET'S PLAY...

I was just talking to Hubby about when we think our daughter will be born? Yesterday I thought could have been the day - LOL! My due date is Aug.07, but you never know...This baby girl is low, yet still wriggly! So ladies I've got a treat for you. First off, you have to be a follower of my Blog, and with that simple task completed, let me know what date you think I will give birth to my daughter. Just comment your guess on my Blog, and the winner will receive 16000 Redonkulous Reward Points to use toward free digital products @ RedonkulousDesigns.com; which translates to either digital stamps, scrapbook papers or even some clip art. Don't worry if the same date is chosen by a few people, I will have a random draw with all the right guessers! The only disclaimer, the prize may be delayed until I get out of the hospital, but you understand don't you??? :) Have fun guessing!
Friends Forever - Digital Stamp

With worrying about installing the Baby's car seat, pack for the hospital, and get the baby's room ready.... I have been a pretty busy lady! This is suppose to be the time to relax right? Wrong!!! Hahaha! My day job has been rushing us to meet deadlines that were near impossible, especially being understaffed this week. And now that my shop is in full swing, I am still trying hard to get the word out, and in a bit of a panic to get more new products into the store as who knows what will happen when the baby comes - Whew! With all the chaos surrounding me, it has also been an exciting time. I have met soooo many nice ladies in the past few months and days, and I can't wait to meet more as my blog, store and Facebook fans grow over time. This weekend, I also managed to get a new digital stamp created called "Friends Forever". I also completed a new set of Scrapbook papers "Simply Sweet", and by popular demand, I created a boy version of "Ribbit". Wowzers! What a week...

Simply Sweet - Digital Scrapbook Papers

....now can I have it back? LOL! Had a blast taking my little man strawberry picking. Yeah I know, strawberry season is almost over, but we just had to get our son out picking those berries! Well, I'm not sure how much picking was done by our little warrior, but he definitely burned some energy running the rows of strawberries. The fun was not done once we got home, as I cut up and used the blender on some of those strawberries, mixing them with REAL maple syrup. Mmm...Yum! Tasty and much better for you! Kolby was in charge of mixing the pancake mix, and Daddy was responsible for cooking. Team work baby, and a lot of fun! Kolby was excited to eat his creation, and during breakfast he told us the pancakes were going to make him bigger - Hehe, I hope Kolby remembers these days, and I hope my polite and helpful son will remain Mommy's angel even when he "Get's Bigger".

Side note - I usually finish my Blog posts early in the A.M. just before I head off to work. This morning (4AM) out of the blue I hear screams and a lot of crying. I leap out of my bed and proceed to go toward Kolby's room while half asleep. Kolby was still asleep to my surprise, but crying a long dragged out whine saying "I wannnnnnnna go in the Firetruck...but I waaaant to....Nooooo.....I wannnnnnnt to go in the Firetruck!" Lol - the poor little man! I guess with all the worries of the world, my 3 year old has his own Firetruck ride worries! As early and as tired as I was, it was worth the trip to his room to rub his little head, and tell him he is only dreaming...

DESIGN TEAM TIME!!!

I know, this was a long post...but here is the moment I have been waiting for!!!  It's Wednesday, and that means my lovely DT members have crafted up something special using my digital products from

Wedding Anniversary - A Glimpse into my Life

Well, it's Wednesday today - YAY!  See what the girls were up to this week using my digital stamps!

KIM:
SHARON:
TRACY
KATE

I had a wonderful 4th Wedding Anniversary last Thursday. It seems so strange to say that I have been married for 4 years because my husband Jim and I have been together for 14 years...YES I KNOW - it only took him 10 years to finally commit! LOL..and I never let him forget it! But honestly, I think we did the right thing by purchasing our house first, pay off our student loans (only took about 15 years - YIKES!) and then finally got married and had a baby after our finances were in order. Now a little baby girl on the way in 4 weeks - we couldn't be happier!   14 years in the making - planning our life together. From major career changes to family tragedies - we've been through so much together and I am glad we had each other to share these moments, good or bad. For now, we finally get to sit back and see what else comes our way! When you have kids, it definitely feels like a new chapter! No more late nights at the bar, but instead late nights rocking babies to sleep - No more eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches when you are too tired to cook...eer, umm...at least not as much -LOL!  So, this little back story of a glimpse into our lives leads me to talk about the gift my husband and son picked out together.  Have you ever heard of a Pandora charm bracelet? I think l am probably the only girl on earth who hasn't! Haha! This is what my boys picked out for me.  There is only one charm on it so far, and my first charm represents my son Kolby.  Its the sweetest little thing.  I can't wait to get one to represent my little girl next!  What a great idea to have a bracelet that tells a story of your life.  I love it - but boy, are they ever pricey!  I guess this is what makes it a special treat! =)

Happy 4th of July to my neighbours in the USA!  We had a wonderful Canada Day weekend, and Kolby enjoyed watching the Fireworks.  Sadly, I was not very mobile this weekend b/c my hip is giving me a lot of pain from the baby (my Doctor says I shouldn't be walking - HA!).  So taking her advice, I decided to remain somewhat couch bound and design some digital scrapbook papers and another digital stamp.  I have a pile of unfinished sets of scrapbook papers and felt it was time to get at least another added to the new store.  Hard to find the time these days-but I do plan on adding another set soon!  I may take them right out of my Etsy shop b/c they are such a pain to email as the files are so big!  It is so handy that my new online store allows instant downloads rather than me having to send 4 separate emails for 1 Etsy order!  Y AY!  This depended on what was ordered of course - but man, what a pain! Alright, enough whining - here are my new digital images, which can be found in my online store:

Redonkulously Exhausted!!!

It's been a busy last few days with the opening of my new store! What a successful 3 days - So far no glitches...that I know of??? My Etsy Store is still open in case someone has issues. One thing is for sure, between the store, my full time job, and this pregnancy, I am soooo exhausted!!! If the baby decided to come now - I think I would die! I have been busy trying to spread the word of my new shop, trying to finish new banners and badges, and hours on a new blinkie that I cannot get to work because GIF files make rendered art look terrible - sigh. I somehow even managed to get myself banned from a forum for posting my Grand Opening sale!!! Next time, I guess I should read the fine print - whoops! I swear, I feel terrible! I didn't mean to be rude by posting...Doh!
Somewhere between all the chaos, I had a 3 year old little charmer that makes it all worth it, my buddy Kolby! Everyday my boy makes me laugh, he is so polite and helpful and I can't wait to spend my maternity with him and his sister. He has also been very very helpful around the house ( I know, enjoy it while it lasts right?). This morning my husband was laughing his head off when he opened the closet near the front door to find all of our shoes "organized" into a massive pile of mixed up shoes! I'll be sure to thank Kolby this morning! What a sweetie!

I also want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of my DT's for posting my Grand Opening Sale on their blogs - you guys are the BEST!!! The sale ends this Thursday June 28th - EEEK - oh yeah, that's my wedding anniversary! :)

Speaking of Design Team, as you all know, it's my favortite day of the week - DESIGN TEAM DAY!!! Check out what these lovely ladies have been up to this week using my digital stamps!

Digital Stamp Tutorials & DT Day

WOW!  I'm so excited!  This past weekend Tracy, from Tracy's Treasures, posted some of my Redonkulous Designs on You Tube and I can't tell you enough how excited and honoured I was when I saw them!  If you're reading this post Tracy, thanks so much for the plug - it means so much to me!  This most certainly helps with exposure for my artwork and I couldn't be more thrilled and grateful!  Here is Tracy's video of all of her cards she has done this year.  Enjoy and become inspired!  Also subscribe to her videos - they are fantastic!  She also does home decor projects and posted a video on a Flower Vase!!!  I'm a sucker for home decor - so I just had to watch it myself!  :)

Also, this past week, Kim from Just Wordz posted another video tutorial on You Tube on how to colour my Wedding Bliss digital stamp!!!  Once again, I am ecstatic to watch my digis come to life!  Kim sure makes you want to run out and buy those ProMarkers!  Those little tips are perfect for those tight spaces...and that blending marker, I don't know how anyone could live without!  So cool!!!  Thanks Kim, you're the best!  Check out Kim's latest tutorial on how to colour digi stamps - then subscribe to her videos and learn every step on how to colour these beautiful images using ProMarkers!

I also wanted to thank my entire design team for going above and beyond what I expected; spreading the word about my digi stamps and my shop!  I have stumbled upon several sites and blogs recently by accident, and seen where many of you have posted and given credit to Redonkulous Designs!  Without all of you, I'd still be a little minnow in the ocean.  I have seen an increase in traffic since being a part of such a wonderful and amazing team!  I almost feel like a pike now, and can't wait to evolve into a shark!!!  From the bottom of my heart - thank you so much ladies!

Speaking of Design Team...you know what day it is don't you? Yup, it's Design Team DAY!!!  Check out what my redonkulous crafty ladies have created this week!

Digital Stamp for a Man & DT Day

This digital stamp of a girl jumping out of a cake sure got a lot of double takes and googly eyes from my male co-workers!!!  For the past few days I've been colouring her up during lunch time at work.  Based on my live audience's feedback, I have a feeling this is a big winner for any man to receive!  This digi stamp is perfect for a stag/bachelor night invite, a birthday card for men, an anniversary card, or even valentines day!  Whatever you plan on celebrating, this image will bring big smiles from the recipient!  I did up this coloured version for a shop sample (mind the watermark, I do plan on selling as a clipart) - I know, a sad attempt at a greeting card done digitally - hehe - I really just did it for fun!  Not too bad for a first attempt.  Maybe one day I will brave enough to use ProMarkers and real paper & embellishments - LOL!

It's DT Day everyone!  Time to show of some of my Redonkulous creations!  See what the ladies have been up to this week!  I can't wait to see!  This is the time of the week where I wish I didn't have to go to work!  Since the posts don't go up until 8AM (and it is really 5:30AM for me as I pre - schedule my blog posts), I will have to wait until I get home...Boooooo!  Hope everyone has a crafty week!

Visit Kim's blog to see what she has done with my cheekiest digital stamp, and then hop on over to the rest of my teamies and leave'm some lovens!

Trendy Teen Digital Stamp and DT Day!

Yay! It's another boy digital stamp for those of you who have requested boy digis!   This one is of a trendy teenager or college student!  You know those boys and their techy toys, I just had to do this one!  He actually looks similar to a character on a television show I use to design for.   I guess after 6 years of drawing the same character, it eventually takes over your soul. LOL!  He actually looks a lot cooler than the TV show character I use to draw. Though, when I was finished, I cringed a little because I could see the influences. I was at the point of no returning for this cool guy!  I still like'em. :)

On Sunday we spent the day at my parents house visiting my Nana from England. She will be going back home next Tuesday, so of course we want to visit again this coming weekend.  I  wish she lived closer because it is so nice to see her so full of energy around the great grand Kids, and Kolby had a blast wrestling a toy from her and popping bubble wrap! How many people are lucky enough to play with their great grandparent(s)? Sadly I can't remember mine - can you?

So I am starting to freak out a little. The baby is due in 2 months! EEK! We are so NOT ready for her! Now I feel the need to get rid of a lot stuff we just don't need anymore because it is taking up so much room! One of these weekends I want to stay home and go through it all.  The thought is overwhelming and gives me anxiety as I know it will take longer than a weekend!  I will have to write down a "to do list".  Some days I think "ooh, I bet I could get some extra money if I sell this or sell that," ...Ha! Let's be serious! This is the reason why I still have it sitting here.  Jim and I have decided to give most of it to charity, and the bigger stuff we will try to sell.

DESIGN TEAM'S CRAFTY CREATIONS

Before we begin, I'd like to point your eyes to the new Gallery Tab I have added to my blog.  You will now be able to see my teamies past projects.  Finally eh?  It is still a work in progress as you can see everyone is not there, but as I receive pictures (hint hint), I will update!   =)  The pics will stay there forever and ever, so send those pics in ladies!

It's time to show of some off my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  Lets start at Kim's blog and see what she has created!  My teamies links are there too.  You can also leave these ladies some LOVE by following the links below.  Enjoy!

Bring on Summer & DESIGN TEAM DAY

Well, my little baby is now a big boy. We had a blast this past weekend celebrating his 3rd birthday with my oldest brother. The weather was gorgeous, and very hot for this time of year - I'll gladly welcome the sunshine!  The kiddies drove their mini vehicles around the yard at my parents house, went swimming in the big pool, and went fishing in the mini toddler pool (plastic fish of course!) The Kids also had a blast squirting each other with their mini Squirt guns! My other oldest brother brought out  two big Water Soakers to "keep the kids is line" - haha!  Of course the kids thought this was a hoot and tried desperately to take my brother down!!!  They were no match for this BIG kid!  Before you could blink, all 3 of my brothers and of course my husband were attacking each other with Super Soakers, the hose, and water balloons! It was all out WAR!  Women & children - take cover!  What an awesome weekend to be a kid again!

Have you ever tried a mojito?  I was able to indulge myself with this tropical drink for the first time, and it was so yummy!  If you haven't had one, I highly recommend it - but they take time to make properly.  Wishing it could've been filled with rum, but not for this preggo for a while.  I'll have to wait to try the real deal once I pop this baby out.  All I have to say is mmmmmm to the virgin one!!!  What a nice flavor to celebrate the summer!

As you all know, it's DT day. Lets take a look at what the ladies have been whipping up this week.  Kim from Just Wordz has been doing some amazing tutorials on how to colour Digital Stamps using Pro Markers!  These are videos you just gotta check out!  I think they are the best and most informative on the web!  She claims she's no expert, but honestly, this lady knows her stuff and is amazing at colouring digital stamps and creating handmade cards!  One day, I would love to see the whole process, from colouring through card creation.  No pressure Kim! ;)  Leave some Lovens for the very talented ladies below!

My Life This Week, DT DAY, & Soccer-Football Digital Stamp!

Happy Birthday Lovey!  It's my son's birthday today!  I can't believe he is already 3 years old!!!  It seems like yesterday when I was holding him in my arms, and now I am taking him on picnics and playing in the rain - at least that's what we did on Victoria Day Monday!  Can someone please slow down the clock?  He is growing too fast!  I aways tell Jim I want to keep him this small forever.  I don't know what it is like to have a teenager, or a college kid, but all I can say is, this is by far the most fun we have had and I just want to hold onto it forever.  Terrible Two's?  Nah, not so terrible at all!  They should change the name to "Terrific Twos", because I have never laughed so hard, or had my heart melt to mush in all my life!  Now lets see what a three year old will bring us...moohoo haha!

More things going on this month!  My Nana from England is visiting and I am so excited to see her this weekend!  We are trying to get everyone in the family together this weekend at my Mum and Dad's house to see her, as we just never know when her last trip out to Canada will be!  We also hope to celebrate Kolby's birthday this weekend with my oldest brother, whose birthday was yesterday!  Is it just me, or are there a  lot of people born in May? LOL!  I noticed there are several people taking their birthdays off this month at my work.  I bet there are a lot more of you Spring babies out there - So Happy Birthday to all of you born in the month of May!  :) *Muh!* xoxo

More good news! My other grandmother is recovering well!  She gave us quite a scare this past weekend, and the doctors told close family that they all needed to go to the hospital.  So off my Dad went to Quebec to be with her, and his brothers and sisters.  She was hospitalised on Monday b/c her heart stopped.  Yesterday they put in a pace maker, and we have heard she is doing really well.  Hoping her status remains positive, and praying for a full recovery!

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS?!?!

It's DT Day!  It's time to show of some off my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  My favorite day of the week!  Lets start at Kim's blog and see what she has created!  Have you been there and done that already?  Well, what are you waiting for? Visit these very talented ladies and give them some LOVE!  If you haven't seen their stuff before, you're missing out!  Don't miss out this week, hop on the links below.

3D Ultrasound & DT Day

Another beautiful weekend! On Saturday we went to our 3D Ultrasound appointment. We are excited to announce we are having a baby GIRL!!!   YAY!   A few months back we went for a health check ultrasound and we were hoping to find out what the gender of the baby was.  We asked the ultrasound technician to write the gender in a card we had specially picked out.  This was so that we could open the card on a special day (like Valentines Day or Easter) to give ourselves a lovely surprise.  But not long after our request, the technician blurted out, "it's a girl MAYBE?  Looks like the baby has girl parts, but not too sure..."   Whoops - you weren't suppose to tell us remember?  - LOL!  The baby was so curled up in a ball, that it was hard to get a good shot to determine the sex.  When the technician said it was a "girl maybe", I was so excited I didn't even care that she blurted it out.  All I wanted to do was shop for little girly clothes!!!  So after the appointment, my hubby allowed me to buy a dress, when I REALLY wanted to buy a million girly things!  No point in spending money on a "maybe girl" - LOL!  I can't tell you how excited we both are to finally find out that the baby is for SURE a girl!   Now we have one of each!   After growing up in a household with 3 brothers, I am especially happy to have a bonding experience with my little girly girl. Prepare to be dollified my little princess! Hehehehe!  Kolby will be so happy that he doesn't have to wear dresses anymore...I'm kidding...or am I?  ;)

Here are just 4 of 110 pics!  There were so many to choose from, but I think these are my favourite.  The only thing that sucks about the 3D ultrasound is that it creates a lot of anxiousness - I just want to cuddle her right now!  I can't wait to finally meet her!

In this picture, it looks like she has hair - but those are actually shadows.  We can't see hair in ultrasounds - or so I was told. :)
"Just trying to get my beauty sleep!"

My little princess showing her true colours by sticking her tongue out at us!  What a cheeky little monkey!

...and here comes the diva attitude!  I think this one is funny!
"This is so humiliating!!!  I'm not even born yet and my parents are taking pictures of me!  Let me know when it is over!"

Oh my!  Our little angel has become a teenager already by flipping us her middle finger!!!  No joke - we couldn't believe our eyes!  This happend right after I shook my belly to get her arms away from her face to get a nice shot.  We all laughed, including the technician - she'd never seen that before!!!
 "I said - BUZZ OFF!"

I hoped you enjoyed the pictures of my lovely sweety.  It will only be a few more months until our little angel will meet the world.  I only wish the world for both my son and my future daughter.  If a picture can say a thousand words then "YOU - my daughter" have taken all my thousands of words...

...Now, lets get down to business!  It's Design Team Day!!!  YAAAAAY!!!  Time to check out some more of my Redonkulous Digital Stamps!  Lets see what the ladies have created this week:

DT DAY - and Re-draw for a New Winner!

Uh-oh!  Looks like we have an unclaimed digital stamp winner from last weeks 100 Followers draw.  I really hate to do this, but this is the way the cookie crumbles.  For the NEW winner - please click here.

It's my son's birthday month and he turns 3 on the 23rd!  His Nana and Papa decided to spoil him rotten early, and refused to take "no" for an answer!  We're not sure who feels more spoiled - us, or Kolby - LOL!  Jim decided to take Kolby to the States to pick up some pre-ordered stuff close to the boarder.  When it comes to children's toys and clothing, many things are literally half price compared to Canada.  It is even worth the gas to drive there, plus the duty charges!  So our spoiled little boy got a four wheeler for kids (battery operated of course), a cool new bike, and a shark helmet.  He had the best weekend of his life and it was so beautiful outside!  He literally spent the whole weekend outside riding his four wheeler in the backyard, and his bike to the park!  As the weekend came to a closing, Kolby laid in his bed and whispered, "thank you for letting me ride my four wheeler."  He grabbed my face, squishing my cheeks, and said with his serious little expression - "I'm so proud of you Mommy!"  Then he rubbed the top of my head - I couldn't help but laugh!  I said, "No no buddy, I'm so proud of you!"  It melted my heart!  We felt so blessed this weekend. ♥

It's time to show off my Design Team's talent!  I get so excited for Wednesday now!  These ladies are so talented, so be sure to leave them some LOVE!
